A Year Ago

A year ago I was a prospective student dreaming of college in all its glory. Dreaming of my independence and ability to make wise thoughtful decisions. This weekend I’m hosting curious intelligent high school seniors that have so much ahead of them. They are all so ready for college; it is truly obvious. Through them I see my past self: nervous, excited, curious, and not really sure what to expect. I can almost feel their energy and optimistic view of the college environment around them. They are the upcoming Freshmen class at Linfield College. The class of 2016. So far, I think I’ve secured a freshman buddy :)
